Easter Services

The Bishop of Dover, the Right Reverend Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin will be presiding over the following Easter Services:

Maundy Thursday – 2nd April
6.00 p.m. Solemn Eucharist

Good Friday – 3rd April
9.30 a.m. Liturgy of Good Friday

Good Friday Procession
11.30 a.m. Churches Together in Hawkhurst and
Walk of Witness starting from St. Barnabas Church

Easter Sunday – 5th April
10.00 a.m. Family Communion

Please bring a posy of flowers to adorn the cross if you are able to.

Good Friday – As well as our own service at St Laurence on Good Friday – 3rd April – we will have the following Ecumenical Service:

This year the Good Friday Service will be led by Revd Ben Gotts. It will begin at St Barnabas’ at 11:30am. The walk will proceed through the village, finishing at Dunk’s Almshouses. Attendees will then be invited back to the Baptist Church for the final Lent Lunch.

Stations of the Cross

We will be holding a series of services to reflect on the Stations of the Cross and Lenten Prayers.
Coffee and tea will be provided afterwards.

These will be held on the following Fridays
Led by Dr Julie Hammonds, assisted by Claire Roberts:

This will not be held on Friday 6th March.

Lent Lunches

These will all be held in the Baptist Church hall 12.00 to 1.30pm

March 20th – St Laurence’s
March 27th – Hawkhurst Baptist Church
April 3rd – All Churches
