The Ash Wednesday and Wednesdays in Lent Zoom Service will start at 7.30pm (except the 24th. February when we will start at 6pm.). It will be the service of Compline and we will include the Imposition of Ashes. So please ensure you have your Ashes. We will also have a Lent course – a talk

Lent at St Laurence 2021
The word Lent is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word for springtime, which literally translates in modern English to “the lengthening of the days.” In the early church, the Lenten period was used as a time for preparing new converts for Baptism on Easter Sunday.
